Not all vehicles are created equal. Some are designed more technical than others. CAN Bus LED adapters are design to be compatible with certain car's computer system. This allows the car to respond and function correctly with LEDS installed. Some vehicles do not need a CAN Bus and can function with the LEDS installed alone. Other vehicles will flash a malfunction code when LEDS are installed and that is where a CAN Bus is needed to bypass that error message and adapt to the car's computer system. The most common vehicles that require a CAN Bus adapter are mainly European made cars and American made cars. Please check your vehicle's specification to whether a CAN Bus is required for installation.
